Peach Orchard Farm is owned and operated by Linda and Hunter Steadman and their daughter and son-in-law Camille and Eddie Thompson.
Together, their mission is to help foster lifelong connections between special horses and their riders by raising top quality horses, helping care for horses in a natural environment and giving children the opportunity to learn how wonderful the world can look from the back of a horse.
Peach Orchard farm has been home to champion horses for more than 25 years. Please come visit and select a champion for yourself. Additionally, your horse is welcome here, and we will care for him as if he were our own.
Most importantly, if you have a special child who could benefit from horseback riding and hippotherapy, please contact us and see the wonderful pediatric physical therapy program at Peach Orchard Farm.
Linda and Hunter Steadman have both owned horses since childhood. When they moved to Bentonville in 1981, they purchased a house and twenty acres on a quiet road. Their daughter Camille also loved horses and they gradually expanded their herd.
They began competing in local horse shows, eventually moving up to breed shows. Camille won her first PHBA World Championship at the age of 16 competing against professional trainers in Hunter Under Saddle. The following year she was again named PHBA World Champion, again competing against professional trainers in Trail.
The family then progressed to AQHA and NSBA competition, earning multiple futurity and class wins.
In 1997, Camille married Eddie, and he became involved in the family horse farm operation as well.
In 2001, the family was given the chance to purchase 20 acres adjoining the farm to the south. With other real estate in the area rapidly developing, they took the opportunity to purchase the property and bring Pumpkin Patch Kids' Therapy and horse boarding to the farm.
The newly purchased property contained a 19th century dairy barn that had fallen into disrepair. In a time when such barns were being dismantled and turned into flea market barn wood and picture frames, the family committed to restoring the barn.

The barn became home to the therapy services.
Also in 2001, the family acquired a talented 2 year old mare Britney Pine, who would go on to defy all odds following devistating injuries to both hind legs and become a World Champion, multiple Reserve World Champion and multiple Congress Champion in Western Pleasure, including a Reserve World Championship with Camille at the reins in Amateur Western Pleasure.

Camille has been fortunate to train and show under the guidance of some of the greatest trainers in AQHA history, including Jerry Stanford, Cleve Wells, Shane Dowdy and Bill and Tina Kaven.
While each member of the family maintains a professional career away from the farm, they continue to raise top quality show horses and look forward to the debut of their 2 year old show string in 2008.
A team of dedicated ranch hands is here to help at all times. Pictured below (from left to right) are the Public Relations Director, Asset Protection Agent, and Herd Managment Specialist.

The ranch hands do require an occasional nap but assure us that Life is Good here at Peach Orchard Farm.

Come share the good life!
